Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Shannon, Co. Clare


We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer who will work on developing complex automation solutions and proposals for our global multinational customer base.

The successful candidate will support in the delivery of competitive concept solutions. You will do this by working closely with the Sales Manager, Key Account Managers and meeting with the internal engineering teams, understanding our customer needs and translating these needs into accurate proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our engineering teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Build) to develop a bespoke solution for our customers.
  • Talk to our customers to understand their manufacturing challenges and gain a deep understanding of what solution they require.
  • Qualify sales enquiries to ensure they are a fit for our business.
  • Develop an accurate & competitive proposal.
  • Present the detailed proposal to the customer and discuss all elements of the proposal with them.
  • Provide commercial handover to the business.
  • Develop long-lasting relationships with our customers.
  • Upsell and cross-sell while onsite with customers
  • Travel may be required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • L8 BEng or BSc Degree
  • 3+ years in a technical sales role/ Automation or Production Environment Experience (Advantage)
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor / SolidWorks (Advantage)
  • Previous Customer Exposure (Advantage)
