Software Controls Technician

Overview: 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Controls Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the commissioning and debug of automated equipment.
  • Download of PLC, HMI & Robotics programmes.
  • Setup of control networks.
  • Teaching and adjusting of Robots, Servos and sensors.
  • Supporting IO checks.
  • After completion of some in-house training and coaching sessions you will be expected to update PLC, HMI and Robot programmes and associated software documentation.
  • Some travel time will be required to support equipment installations and after qualification equipment support. 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum L7 in an Automation, Electronic, IT or Technology discipline.
  • 2+ years’ experience as a manufacturing, process, or maintenance technician.
  • Experience of working on automation projects (advantage).
  • Basic understanding of PLC, HMI, Robotics & Sensors (advantage).
  • Ability to debug automated systems.
  • Experience of performing electrical troubleshooting.
