Job Title: Senior Electrical Technician

Role: Senior Electrical Technician

Your skills will be vital in providing leadership on projects and delivering best in class panel builds and assembly of electrical wiring for various projects. It is a hands on role that includes debugging of control systems, supporting and working on various stages of the machine life cycle such as design, build, install and commissioning. You will provide guidance, instruction & direction to your project team members to ensure that you all work towards the departments and business overall goals and objectives.

 Responsibilities: 

Core

• Execute & deliver allocated projects, reporting back on project progress to Team Lead/ Project Manager (technical issues / project updates)
• Involvement in Panel Build Assembly and Electrical Wiring
• Involvement in preparation and install all cabling required for Power, Control, Safety and Commissioning
• Assist with the completion of key power up and set up tasks such as IO Checks, Safety Resetting, Safety checks and debug
• On time delivery of Projects within budgeted hours
• Ensure project requirements are reviewed and delivered
• Creation of work plans
• Monitor build milestones throughout the project and ensure they are met
• Support development of trainees – Job Shadowing and Training
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required
• Travel required

Quality and Innovation

• Participate and feed into Lessons Learned reviews on projects
• Complete required documentation
• Ensure good disciplines are in place such as Quality, Safety & Recording keeping
• Responsible for the build quality
• Effective and efficient setup of workspace
• Working with our internal ERP system to review requirements, delivery dates and hours logged on projects
• Involvement in Continuous Improvement programmes

 Communication

• Lead and feed into daily Project stand-up meetings
• Communicate schedule risks, issues and solutions with Team Leads and Project Managers
• Attend weekly project meeting -bringing up to date information on agreed templates (4 Blocker)
