Electrical Engineer


Exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing business. You will be responsible for the electrical design of innovative automation solutions. You will be involved in proposal development, working closely with other departments and reviewing project progress against schedules. You will ensure that Electrical and Pneumatic Schematics are accurately created for all projects and create electrical documentation and sign off documentation for technicians.

  • 2+ years in an Electrical Engineer role
  • L8 Degree in Electronic/electrical engineering, electrical communications or similar



  • Design cost-effective electrical solutions for advanced automation systems
  • Design and development of equipment to meet customer requirements
  • Carry out engineering calculations and component specification
  • Create Electrical/ Pneumatic Schematics
  • Create Bills of Materials
  • Support costs estimation for the new projects (Proposal development)
  • Participate in Design Reviews both internally and with Customers
  • Monitor project variables: schedule, cost, scope, risks
  • Create additional documentation complied with all relevant quality standards
  • Sign Off Documentation for technicians
  • Work closely with cross-departmental project team
  • Support electrical build, commissioning, and installation
  • Research and implement innovative solutions or processes
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement program for skills development
  • Travel may be required


Key Skills & Attributes

  • Ability to work on your initiative & as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of the following systems EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical an advantage
  • Knowledge in the design of Electrical and Pneumatics Safety and Control systems
  • Working knowledge of CE Certification is an advantage
  • Possess the ability to fault find electrical issues on all projects
  • Excellent technical skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experienced in determining project timelines deliver to budget and schedule
  • Experienced in technical design and specification of automation equipment


Location: Shannon, Co. Clare
Salary: Attractive Package. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
